The Melrose Family YMCA Child Care offers a safe, stable and nurturing environment to children 6 weeks to 7 years old. Conveinently located near Oak Grove our facility enjoys a well earned reputation for quality and caring. We embrace a family-centered philosophy. Family interaction is welcomed and encouraged. Children are assigned a Primary Caregiver Teacher who works directly with them each day. Primary Caregiver provides the child with personal and individualized attention. Parents are encouraged to visit regularly with teachers to discuss your child’s development.
The Melrose Family YMCA Child Care Center is fully licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. We are proud that our teacher-child ratio exceeds the state requirement. Small class sizes and low ratios allow each child to be seen as a special individual. All of our teachers are trained in child growth and development, most hold a degree or are currently working toward them. Our staff is also encouraged to further their professional growth through continuing education programs.
