The Melrose Family YMCA Child Care Center in Stoneham offers a safe, stable and nurturing environment to children 6 weeks to 12 years old. We embraces a family-centered philosophy. Family interaction is welcomed and encouraged. Children are assigned a Primary Caregiver Teacher who works directly with them each day. Primary Caregiver provides the child with personal and individualized attention. Parents are encouraged to visit regularly with teachers to discuss your child’s development.

The Melrose Family YMCA Child Care Center in Stoneham is fully licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and has received NAEYC accreditation. We are proud that our teacher-child ratio exceeds the state requirement. Small class sizes and low ratios allow each child to be seen as a special individual. Our staff currently hold Associate’s or Bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education or related field, or aer currently working towards a degree. Each staff member completes a minimum of 20 hours per year training to help keep them current in the field of Early Childhood principles and practices.
